Job Description

Industry: Industrial Automation

Role
The Business Development Manager shall be responsible for developing business and sales in the Middle East region with initial focus on Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and UAE. Products shall include gas, air and water filtration and purification products, critical space ventilation control products and specialty ventilation and exhaust systems. The Business Development Manager shall also provide business development support for projects in the design phase which are targeted for Saudi Arabia, with focus on consulting engineering companies in Qatar and UAE. In addition, the Business Development Manager shall provide quality control support, as required, for UAE manufactured products.

Duties:
1. Achieve annual booking and sales turnover objectives.
2. Submit bi-weekly reports.
3. Identify, establish and manage new and existing sales agents.
4. Develop and maintain database of all relevant projects in execution stage, tender stage and design stage.
5. Visit prospective clients and present EnviTec capabilities.
6. Visit consulting engineering companies and present EnviTec capabilities.
7. Follow up on projects and close orders.
8. Conduct QC inspections of UAE fabricated equipment

Skills

Operating Environment
Approximately 40% travel is required within the GCC
Qualifications:
1. Degreed mechanical or electrical engineer
2. Minimum of 8 to 10 years sales experience within the GCC selling engineered products related to HVAC, plumbing and/or electrical systems for a multi-national company or well established trading company.
3. Must have proven successful sales track record of at least 5 years.
4. Must be fluent in English (verbal and written) and Arabic.
5. Established contacts with contractors and consulting engineering companies within the GCC related to commercial construction projects are very helpful.
6. Must be a highly motivated self-starter with a very strong work ethic.
7. Must be able to work independently.
8. Must have very strong communication and presentation skills.
